The bingo community
One of the great advantages of playing bingo online is the warm and welcoming community who enjoy Carlton Bingo.
When you play bingo, or any of our fun mini games, you can chat with fellow bingo fans during or in between games. If you want to concentrate on chat, simply set your dabber to automatic.
This means that your numbers will be crossed off for you as they are called, ensuring that you don't miss a thing just because you are chatting to a friend.
Community etiquette
There are some rules you should remember before you chat with other members of the bingo community. These include:
- Only use usernames, even if you know someone's real name.
- Don't swear, as this can offend some members.
- Congratulate winners - you wouldn't want to look like a sore loser.
- Welcome people when they sign in, especially if it is their first time.
- Most of all, have fun.
The Carlton Bingo community is here to ensure that you get the most from our games. Feel free to ask other players for help if you are a rookie. You will find they are happy to answer your questions.
Glossary
If you are new to the bingo community, you will notice a lot of 'text speak' is used in the chat room. This is because it is faster and easier to type. However, it can look like hieroglyphics if you haven't encountered it before.
Some of the more common terms you will come across include:
- BRB - Be right back.
- BTW - By the way.
- E1 - Everyone.
- GL - Good luck.
- LOL - Laughing out loud.
- 3TG - Three to go (numbers needed to win).
- TY - Thank you.
- WD - Well done.
- WTG - Way to go.
Bingo appeals to all ages, so you will encounter a diverse group of friends playing with Carlton Bingo.
We also have bingo halls across Scotland and the north of England, if you want to enjoy bingo during a night out on the town.
